Clinical Viral Symposium

The ASM Clinical Virology Symposium 2019 will be held in Savannah at the Savannah Convention Center May 5-8. The Clinical Virology Symposium provides a forum for the meaningful exchange of ideas dealing with viral infections and is led by biomedical scientists engaged in research and primary care physicians and laboratorians involved with patient care.

Attendees will hear the latest on microbiome-virome interactions, RNA sequencing for viral diagnosis, the challenges and opportunities for a universal influenza vaccine, and more at the 2019 ASM Clinical Virology Symposium. Night of Champions

The Low-Country Down Syndrome Society presents the 10th annual Night of Champions on Wednesday, May 9 at the Savannah Convention Center. Night of Champions highlights exceptional contributions made by people with different abilities in their respective workplaces. For 75 years, Barbizon has been developing models and actors through expert and reputable programs and industry connections. Savannah Tattoo Festival

This yearly event is quickly becoming a Savannah staple for the tattoo enthusiast and artist alike! The Savannah Tattoo Festival offers attendees 18 years of age or older the opportunity to get tattooed by the best in the business. This family friendly event features tattoo artist from around the world coming together with amazing vendors, entertainment and contests.

The festival will be held May 17-19 at the Savannah Convention Center with show times varying each day. You can gain access for the day or the entire weekend. The Georgia Republican Party

The Georgia Republican Party (GAGOP) will host the State Republican Convention at the Savannah Convention Center May 17 & 18. The GAGOP is committed to advancing conservative principles and electing Republican candidates up and down the ballot. Delegates and the public alike are welcome to attend this event. Advance tickets are available at the link here, with ticket prices increasing after May 10. All delegates must be elected at their respective county GOP convention. Onsite registration times will be strictly enforced. Registration closes at 10:00 am Saturday, May 18.

Savannah College of Art & Design Graduation

Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) will host their commencement ceremonies Friday, May 31st at 1pm and 5pm following the 9am Presidential Conferment of Degrees. ATI National Nurse Educator Summit

The National Nurse Educator Summit will feature nursing professionals from across the country who share a passion for education and lifelong learning. Coming together for four info-packed days, March 31- April 3, that will help them grow and excel in their role as nurse educators, all while earning Continuing Nursing Education credits.
The attendees have the opportunity to join discussions on the critical issues facing nursing and healthcare today, as well as share knowledge, celebrate achievement, and build relationships that promote a stronger nursing industry. Top industry speakers will include Jamie Murphy Dawson, MPH, Steve Rizzo, and Chip Eichelberger.

Savannah Comic Con

Savannah’s Comic Con brings you TV/Film Stars, Voice Actors, Comic Book Creators, Cosplay, and so much more. This wonderfully fun filled two days will take place April 6th and 7th at the Savannah Convention Center. Be ready to see Comic Con special guests Rob Paulsen, Summer Glau, John Wesley Shipp, Carey Means, Laura Martin and many more. There will also be a Cosplay contest. Richmond Hill High School Prom

On Saturday night, April 6, 2019 the Chatham Ballroom at the Convention Center will magically turn into the beautiful prom for Richmond Hill High School. Savannah Derby Devils Game

Savannah’s very own roller derby team the Derby Devils will be hosting their 2019 bouts at the Savannah Convention Center. Their first home bout of the season will take place on April 6th and is a double header vs. Greenville Derby Dames at 5pm and Orlando Roller Derby at 7:30pm. All Roller Derby events take place in the exhibit hall, tickets are currently available. There will be concessions onsite so come hungry and thirsty for this year’s bouts as we cheer on the Savannah Derby Devils aka the Hostess City Hellions!

South University White Coat Ceremony

Graduates of the South University will be honored at the South University White Coat Ceremony taking place at Savannah Convention Center on April 12, 2019. One Hundred Miles

One Hundred Miles is a coastal advocacy organization with a mission of protecting, preserving, and enhancing the 100-mile Georgia coast. Led by a dedicated staff and a committed Board of Directors, One Hundred Miles focuses on core issues of water and wetlands, land use, changing climate, and wildlife. On Saturday, April 13th, One Hundred Miles will host interactive workshops, coastal advocacy training, and inspirational speakers at the Savannah Convention Center. This day’s events will be followed by a behind the scenes field trip to nearby coastal destinations. Take action and join One Hundred Miles for this informative conference.

The Emergency Management Association of Georgia welcomes professionals from emergency management, public health, healthcare coalitions, and others to the 2019 Emergency Management Summit and Training Sessions at the Savannah Convention Center April 17-19th.

Coastal Bankruptcy 2019 Annual Bankruptcy Law & Trends Southern District

The Coastal Bankruptcy Law Institute (CBLI) has a long standing position as a valuable resource of bankruptcy law education in the Southern and Middle Districts of Georgia. CBLI offers several seminars annually that address changes in the bankruptcy law code. These day-long events draw hundreds of law professionals from throughout the 11th Circuit. On April 19th, a seminar will be held at the Savannah Convention Center. The materials presented will be of interest to practitioners who regularly appear in court cases involving consumers and small to medium size businesses on behalf of either debtors or creditors. The institute expects to advance the dual purpose of increasing lawyer proficiency and promoting the efficient administration of justice.

Association of County Commissioners of Georgia 2019 Annual Meeting

ACCG, Georgia’s County Associations, come together with us here at the Savannah Convention Center to communicate about the issues facing their communities, to expand through educational sessions and networking opportunities in this member-based service. The Savannah Convention Center Receives LEED Gold Certification

Savannah, GA – (July 20, 2017) The Savannah Convention Center (SITCC) has been awarded LEED Gold certification for Existing Buildings by the U.S. Green Building Council, making it the first convention center in Georgia to obtain this certification. (more…)

REGIONAL BETA CLUB CONVENTION VISITS SAVANNAH

Jan. 19, 2017 (Chamber Staff) Over 3,300 regional high school juniors and seniors visited Savannah last week for their BETA Club annual competition and convention. The events were held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center and utilized 12 historic district hotels. Attendees enjoyed rides on the Georgia Queen back and forth to the Trade Center and patronized area businesses around town for the long weekend generating over $500 million in projected visitor spending. The National BETA Club convention is booked in Savannah for June of 2018, and is expected to attract over 17,000 attendees.

Savannah International Trade & Convention Center Chooses Headquarter Hotel Partner
